Has Twitter peaked?

Through out the CNN article "Has Twitter Peaked?" by Doug Gross, Doug speaks about how twitter's high success rate may have stopped growing. Twitter was a site that grew in popularity very quickly, but Its a site that you either love or you don't. I believe there is no in between with twitter.

As Doug says in the article "people who use twitter are using it more than ever". Those who love the site use it regularly. I personally just joined twitter after speaking about it in many class. I was very hesitant about joining the site because I really didn't see the point. I have had facebook since high school, I understand it, I'm used to it, I love it. twitter on the other had has a more complex layout. Or maybe its just unknown. Either way I haven't really seemed to catch the twitter bug. To me it just seems to be another site to check, only to write the same status I'm writing on facebook. The same status that the same friends are checking. I just seems like a waste of time. This seems to be the problem that Doug found. He speaks of ""soft support", people who may have checked out the site and decided it wasn't for them."

I guess like all new things I just have to get used to the twitter world. I think what I am missing is to follow companies and celebrities. This way I would not have the redundancy between facebook and twitter.

Hey Guys...

Soooo here I go. I'm not big on writing blogs or writing at all for that matter. A pen, a paper, and myself aren't the greatest of friends. I find writing to be tedious and complicated. This pretty much leads me to the reason I'm taking Public Relations Writing. I'm a talker! not a writer. And when I say talker I mean like big time talker. I think the reason I don't like to write is because my mind thinks faster than i can formulate into fluid, formal, intellectual writing. I feel that when I speak I can sound professional and intelligent but when i try and comprise those thoughts onto paper I sound like I'm a third grader writing. NOT TO MENTION that thank you to technologies such as my crackberry (blackberry) and crackbook (Macbook) pro I CANT SPELL!! CONFESSION! I'm quite possibly the worse speller in the world! So, PR writing lets hope we can make some progress this semester.

NOW about me:

*I'm a dancer. I have been for as long as I can remember but it hasnt always been fun. Thanks to dance I have had two knee surgeries (age 16 and 18). Not so fun at all to have arthritis by age 18. Pretty funny though to sit down and compare stories with the old folks.

*I'm a middle child but get this! My little brother is 9, My older is 28 and I will be 22 in April. YAAA talk about age gaps.

*I just switched from Family and child studies with a concentration in Elementary Education to Organizational Communication. Why the change? I realized I love children! not so much the teaching part. So, I plan to do event planning in the pediatrics unit of a hospital or for the make a wish foundation.
