CORP CARTEL!! new summer club bangga'!! It's FIIIYYAA!!!

Three guys from the streets of Washington Heights, New York came together years ago to become, Corp Cartel. Chaos, Jay Wise and Young Tana, childhood friends, have been climbing their way through the underground hip hop world. Winners of the BBKings Underground Music award for Latin Hip Hop these boys have been trucking along in their carriers.

Just in time for the summer, Corp Cartel has released a preview to their new club bangga'. When hearing this song I cant help but picture myself surround by a group of my girl friends, dressed from head to toe in the hottest, neck breaking outfit around. Drink in hand, we are running around the house preparing for a great night ahead of us. As we walk outside the sweet summer heat is just the cheery on top. Its going to be a great night out! can you picture it!?!?! I CAN!!!! AHHHH what a hit...I need not mention how wild it would be to hear this song while in the club!!

THE BEAT IS JUST SICK!!! you cant help but move your body! not to mention how much I laughed when i heard "if they holding u the wall get the f*ck out". There is nothing more annoying than people standing on the wall at a club. If your out at the club your there to party, if not GET OUT!! hahaha

ALL IN ALL this song is FIIIIYYYAAAA!!!

OUTRAGED by Disney!!

I have never been so outraged by a children's network than I was when I saw this promotion for the new season of "Sonny With a Chance". The commercial consist of the main characters of the show depicting what has now become societies view of woman in New Jersey. Its pathetic what we have now become with in the vast world of entertainment TV. We are seen as gaudy, backstabbing, high maintenance, and two faced.

Shows like the Jersey Shore on MTV started this, shall I say, OBSESSION with New Jersey and the people who live here. I must admit that Jersey Shore is a guilty pleasure for me. The reason I enjoy this show and don't take it to heart is because if you look at the cast of the show most of them are not even from Jersey! They are the people who crowd the Jersey Shore every summer in search for a good time. It is understood by those who live in Jersey and the tri state area that this is not what most of Jersey is like. Of coarse there are always those exceptions but as a Jersey resident I love to just laugh at it.

Jersey Shore is just one of the shows. Now you have The Real House Wives of New Jersey and Jersey Couture. These shows are all made for adults and are aired on networks that target and adult audience.

NOW....

To why I am so outraged about Disney. Disney is meant to be a wholesome, family channel. Here they are promoting stereotypes!!!! Children are so impressionable. If they see one of their favorite stars, like Demi Lovato poking fun at New Jersey they will believe this is what New Jersey is like. Imagine the child sitting at home watching this somewhere in the midwest. They have never been to the east coast. They know have a notion that women in New Jersey are catty and trashy. Can I just mention that these ladies don't even sound like there from Jersey. If anything they sound like Fran Drescher, which may I mention is meant to sound like the stereotypical New Yorker. So disney not only are you teaching stereotypes and feeding children adult content through jokes they may or may not get, you are miss representing what you were trying to make fun of it the first place. OH and on top of insulting residents of New Jersey such as myself, you are using this episode to PROMOTE the new season. REALLY, REALLY disney are you kidding me!!!

Do you pay attention to opinion pieces in different media outlets?

When one post an opinion that i agree with of coarse I pay attention to it. Who wouldn't?!

On the other hand I also like to read or view opinions that differ from my own. I like to read these either to sit there and critique the writer or to have a new point of view. I really enjoy reading something that makes me second guess my own beliefs. If we don't ever read anything against our own beliefs how will we ever learn. Having someone who is opposed to me makes me want to seek more reasons as to why I am right.

The only way I will not read an opinion piece is if is a subject that I just do not find interesting or if it has boring language.

ABC afraid or smart?

The question at hand is " do I think that fear of negative PR influenced ABC's decision to continue to have its programming on Cablevision until they work out their contract?"

I wonder did ABC fear or where they playing a very wise fine line. Fear of bad publicity may have caused ABC to come back to Cablevision but I believe its just a bit too coincidental that programing happened to return on one of the biggest night of the year. Just before the Academy Awards...accident! i think not!

All the drama and stir up in the media about the cablevision feuds had customers talking. Whether bad PR or good PR, ABC and cabelvision where being spoken about in the homes of many people. After all the hype, it is no wonder that programing came back on a night of a huge event. If ABC would have came back for the 10:00 news not much excitement would have been stirred up.

This deal is a win win situation. Both Cabelvision and ABC look good for please their customers in the end and putting their disputes aside. Cabelvision stated "We are very grateful to our customers for their support and pleased to welcome ABC back"

Bad Pitch Blog

This Blog spot makes me soooo nervous!!
Its a site that thrives off finding flaws in other writers PR work. It makes realize i must be extra cautious when presenting any written work to ANYONE!!! Once something is sent out you have no control over it and it is completely on the cutting board for all to judge and rip to shreds.

Favorite stunts

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEdVfyt-mLw
This video made me actually cry. I know I'm, ridiculous but how amazing is it that this hospital was able to pull so many people together for such a great cause. I first saw this on, I believe, dateline. They had some b-roll playing.

The video started because the glove company was going to give a portion of the proceeds to breast cancer research. Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon took it upon them selves to go above and beyond. They made this video to promote the sales of the gloves. And HEY it worked! They got onto ABC dateline. I’m sure that created buzz. The hospital looked great and so did the glove company.

My oh My
When searching stunts I came across this....

This is a video from Quinnipiac University. I went to QU my freshman year. Its so awesome that they did this stunt right on campus. The greatest was seeing peoples reactions. Hearing people say "come see this", affirming that the stunt worked. I am amazed at how still these students stood it almost seemed fake.

The dating game

Okay so what’s the deal with the whole dating game. And I say game cause sadly that is what it has become. There are winners and losers. People who are bad at it. Good at it. Learners and coaches. It’s honestly sad. What has happened to courtmanship. Loyalty. Honesty. Virtue. Have we become so vain and self indulged that we cannot fathom caring for another person? Has the world jaded us so much that we cannot trust another person?
After speaking with one of my girl friends she mentioned that dating has ceased to exist. No longer does a guy work to get your number, take you on a date and get to know you. Now, guys want you to kiss them AT LEAST when u first meet, give him your number then get to know him. Call me old fashioned, but that doesn’t fly with me. Being single for the first time in college is frustrating. Every guy wants to get in your pants and when you deny it they are magically gone. Guess I’m going to be single for a while!

One of my other girl friends had gotten fed up. She has turned to technology. Signing up for eharmony and zoosk, both are free online dating sites. Here she must weed through profiles to see who has potential and who looks “shady”. Now the question is, how does a picture and a few questions about a person tell you anything? I could go on there put a picture of a model and answer the questions according to what I thought men would enjoy. Going farther with that what if a man with mal-intentions were to do the same. I would never be able to meet up with someone I met online. I would need to travel with a “crew” at all times. To me that just sounds like a horror movie in the making. “Girl meets boy on online dating site. Boy turns out to be 50 year old mass murder. Girls body found in shambles under the bridge!”.

The other thing is people have to actively go out at sign up for these sites. Post a picture. Answer a bunch of questions. So you tell me pro or con? I guess a guy on this sight is not just trying to get laid; He is being proactive to being committed. But why not find someone in person? Then there is the awkward cyber getting to know you. There is no chemistry. No non-verbal cues. No slight touches of affection. I mean what is the guys got a voice you can’t sand but you don’t know until its too late because the computer has been your only source of communication.

I don’t know. I don’t think I will be up to speed with this whole online dating thing. But please tell me what you think because I’m now ranting.
